The Critical Entities Resilience Directive (CER Directive), formally adopted by the European Union (EU) in 2022, aims to strengthen the resilience of critical entities against physical and cyber threats. It replaces the previous European Critical Infrastructure Directive (ECI Directive) and reflects the growing complexity of risks facing critical sectors in an interconnected and digitalized world.
