Depending on its different regional or global configurations, this model is ‘forced’ at input by 10 m winds from the numerical weather prediction models ARPEGE and AROME. Spatial, altimetric and spectral observation data, via satellite-borne radars, are assimilated by global and regional (large-scale) MFWAM models.
