sensing-meteo-12 Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (Koninklijk Nederlands Meteorologisch Instituut, KNMI) KNMI Data Platform data (format: several) climate data, weather forecast Depending on specific dataset Open Depending on specific dataset N.A. The Met Office Climate Data Portal offers several datasets of interpolated observations, reanalysis and projections at different spatiotemporal resolution and coverage. Built using ESRI's ArcGIS Hub, the Climate Data Portal is accessible to GIS and non-GIS users, making it easier for organisations to view climate data geospatially and also analyse climate change projections alongside their own data. This site also features the beta* Local Authority Climate Service (LACS), which provides tools and resources specifically designed to assist Local Authorities and other local groups in understanding the impacts on climate change in their area. sensing-meteo-14 Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera, IPMA) Daily gridded precipitation dataset over mainland Portugal data (format: ASCII, NetCDF) climate data https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1029/2010JD015481 Open None Free for non-commercial research and education projects only. For commercial applications you should contact IPMA, I.P. ( info @ ipma.pt ). The dataset PT02 is based on 806 stations, 188 meteorological stations from Portuguese Meteorological Service (IM) and 618 rain gauges from the National Water Institute (INAG). Most of these (726) stations have at least 10 years of data. The interpolation method applied to create the PT02 dataset was the ordinary kriging. sensing-meteo-16 UK Meteorological Office (Met Office) Met Office Weather DataHub data (format: GRIB2), service (forecast) climate data, weather forecast Depending on specific dataset With fees Depending on specific dataset None This service offers access to Met Office data through a ‘self-serve’ portal via API. Users have the ability to ‘subset’ data by geographical region, time step, model run and parameter for bespoke consumption. This API data channel will ultimately become the single point of access for all Met Office Public Task weather data, replacing both Met Office DataPoint and our Wholesale Data Services. Available models: Global deterministic 10km, UK deterministic 2km (standard lat-long projection), Met Office Global Ensemble Prediction System (MOGREPS-G) 20km (global ensemble - probabilistic), MOGREPS-UK 2km (UK ensemble - probabilistic). sensing-meteo-17 C3S-CDS ERA5 (reanalysis) data (format: GRIB1 (some GRIB2)/NetCDF-3) climate data https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/reanalysis-era5-single-levels?tab=documentation Open, to be requested daily None ERA5 is the fifth generation ECMWF reanalysis for the global climate and weather for the past 8 decades. ERA5 provides hourly estimates for a large number of atmospheric, ocean-wave and land-surface quantities. An uncertainty estimate is sampled by an underlying 10-member ensemble at three-hourly intervals. Ensemble mean and spread have been pre-computed for convenience. Atmospheric, ocean-wave and land-surface variables (complete list at the resource URL) Global 0.25°, native 31 km 1940-present hourly https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/reanalysis-era5-single-levels?tab=overview https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/how-to-api

Atmospheric, ocean-wave and land-surface variables (complete list at the resource URL) Global land 0.1°, native 9 km 1950-present hourly https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/reanalysis-era5-land?tab=overview https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/how-to-api

None This UERRA dataset contains analyses of surface and near-surface essential climate variables from UERRA-HARMONIE and MESCAN-SURFEX systems. UERRA-HARMONIE is a 3-dimensional variational data assimilation system, while MESCAN-SURFEX is a complementary surface analysis system. Atmospheric, ocean-wave and land-surface variables (complete list at the resource URL) Pan-European 5.5 km or 11 km based on the reanalysis system 1961-2019 (jul) daily https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/reanalysis-uerra-europe-single-levels?tab=overview https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/how-to-api
sensing-meteo-20 C3S-CDS CERRA (reanalysis) data (format: GRIB2/NetCDF-3) climate data and forecast https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/reanalysis-cerra-single-levels?tab=documentation Open, to be requested Expected by the end of 2024 None The Copernicus European Regional ReAnalysis (CERRA) datasets provide spatially and temporally consistent historical reconstructions of meteorological variables in the atmosphere and at the surface. Several atmospheric parameters are common to both reanalysis and forecast (e.g. temperature, wind), whilst others are produced only by the forecast model (e.g. 10m wind gust, radiative fluxes). The CERRA dataset was produced using the HARMONIE-ALADIN limited-area numerical weather prediction and data assimilation system. The uncertainty estimates for reanalysis variables are provided by the CERRA-EDA, a 10-member ensemble of data assimilation system. Atmospheric, ocean-wave and land-surface variables (complete list at the resource URL) Pan-European 5.5 km (reanalysis), 11 km (ensemble members) 1984 (sep) - 2021 (jun) Analysis data: 3-hourly for high-resolution, 6-hourly for ensemble members Forecast data: hourly for forecast range 1 - 6 (high-resolution and ensemble members), 3-hourly for forecast range 6 - 30 (high-resolution only) https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/reanalysis-cerra-single-levels?tab=overview https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/how-to-api
