Description:
The general objective of the LIFE DFRMP 2021 project was to support the development of the 2021 update of the Danube River Basin Management Plan (3rd. DRBMP) and the update of the Danube Flood Risk Management Plan (2nd DFRMP). The project focused on the following topics: Nutrient emissions updates of models, figures and scenario analysis; River continuity updated hydromorphology analysis; Ecological corridor ecological prisonisation for river continuity; Invasive alien species risk assessment for different taxa groups and proposals of mitigation measures; Economic analysis updated economic analysis for the 3rd DRBMP and for the 2nd DFRMP including an update of descriptive and qualitative data, comparison and analysis as compared to previous plans, and trend projections on key economic indicators; and Public consultations consultation of stakeholders and the wider public. The results of the analyses would be fed into the respective chapters of both plans.
